The puppies in the "Fine Chocolate" litter turned 3 weeks old last tonight. All of the pups are exploring their surroundings and are becoming interested in interacting with one another. They are also just starting to focus on human interaction, and are responding to sounds and movement. This is a precious time in their development when they come out of their "shell" and learn how to interact with the world around them. I know many of the families on our list are very excited to come and meet the sweet bundles of fur in this litter. So, I thought I'd let you know some of the details for the first litter visitation. Saturdays are our typical visitation days, but we always strive to accommodate families based on their schedules as well. We allow people to come visit the litter once the puppies have turned 4 weeks old. This means that Saturday, May 4th, is the special day when these pups will meet some of the families who will be taking them home forever. In the meantime, I hope that you can enjoy the video of the litter and know that we are working tirelessly with these precious pups. We have recently begun potty training and are working on the 7 Steps of Socialization. This week of training coincides harmoniously with the natural development of the litter. They are just beginning the process of exploring, and we are giving them all kinds of new things to investigate. It is an exciting time here at Kingridge Kennels!
