Remembering All Who Have Served

Happy Memorial Day! I want to share my gratefulness and appreciation to all of you who have served our great nation and protected our freedoms. It has been such a beautiful weekend here in Pittsburgh (which is very appreciated because it is quite rare). We are enjoying picnics, the sunny outdoors, wonderful food, and our loving family. All of these are gifts from the Lord that brave men have fought for, and are still fighting to protect in America.

Some of you may have seen the article about the former marine who was reunited with the yellow Labrador he served with in Afghanistan. Here is the video capturing the precious reunion of the two, and it reminds me of the tender bond shared between all people, even soldiers, with their beloved canines. It is such a strong bond, and it amazes me that even in wartime, our faithful partners will stand with us until the end if necessary. What a beautiful sacrificial relationship! Thank you to all of those who have sacrificed it all for each of us.
